Why I adore the gluten-free trend.

I love the gluten-free trend. I said it. And I mean it. However, it seems most people with celiac disease don't agree. I've read post, after post, after post (you get the point) about why the gluten-free fad is bad. Though I highly respect all of these bloggers and their opinions, I could not disagree more. read more

I seem to be falling in love with gluten-free baked goods all across the United States. Recently, I got to taste some products from Sweet Christine's Gluten Free Bakery. I tried a cookie, brownie, sandwich bread, baguette and pizza crust. Everything was great!

Slow Cooker Mac ‘N’ Cheese {gluten-free}

I miss mac 'n' cheese - Velveeta mac 'n' cheese to be exact. I was never really a Kraft kind of girl, but boy did I love me some shells and cheese. Yum. I've tried several homemade mac 'n' cheese recipes in an attempt to make a gluten-free version, but haven't had much luck. So instead of trying the normal route, I decided to try out my slow cooker. It seemed to work pretty well.

If you haven't seen it yet, I posted a picture this week on several of my social media accounts that is very important to me. Since the day I was diagnosed with celiac disease, I've been wanting my immediate family members to get tested, because they have up to a 22% chance of having the disease. So far, none of my family members have gotten tested. My mom has tried a gluten-free diet for several weeks without experiencing any differences, so I think she is probably in the clear.
