One challenge about eating gluten-free is finding restaurants that are safe for breakfast. Most don’t offer anything other than gluten-free eggs and bacon. Even then, you can’t be sure that the restaurant doesn’t make those things on the same skillet as the gluten-filled pancakes.
The Original Pancake House in Chesterfield, Mo. is different. They offer gluten-free pancakes in several different varieties.
They take great care to make sure there is no cross-contamination by making the gluten-free pancakes in a separate pan and bringing the gluten-free items out on a colored plate (notice the red below), so that you know it is different than everyone else’s gluteny breakfasts.
I obviously ordered gluten-free chocolate chip pancakes.
With sausage links.
Did I mention they make their own whipped cream?
The Original Pancake House is a national chain. I’m not sure if all of their locations offer gluten-free items, but I highly recommend calling the location nearest you to see if they do.
I give this restaurant five stars. I feel perfectly safe when eating there, and it is just so delicious. There’s not much else to say.
