April 21, 2015
My husband and I celebrated our 2-year wedding anniversary last week. We celebrate almost any special occasion with food, naturally, so we went to EdgeWild Restaurant & Winery, one of our favorite spots to eat in the St. Louis, Mo., area. We discovered EdgeWild Restaurant & Winery last year. Restaurants that do gluten-free dining well quickly move to the top of our 'favorites' list, so we've been back multiple times since. read more

My Parents Finally Got Tested For Celiac Disease!

April 14, 2015
I am so happy to finally be writing this post. After facing unwavering resistance, I was finally able to convince both my parents to get tested for celiac disease. *VICTORY DANCE* You may remember a post a wrote over a year ago about a deal my dad and I made. My dad agreed if I got 1,000 subscribers on my blog he would get tested. He's a smart man, because that was a pretty lofty goal. read more

Hey NASCAR, being gluten-free doesn’t make me soft

January 29, 2015
If you haven't heard, NASCAR's Super Bowl ad eludes to the fact that people who eat gluten-free are soft. I normally laugh this type of thing off, but this ad will be seen by over 100 million people. Perpetuating the stereotype that people who eat gluten-free are weak and dramatic in front of millions of viewers is not only distasteful, it's irresponsible. read more
