Not that long ago, when I met my friends for lunch at California Pizza Kitchen, I was stuck ordering a salad.
California Pizza Kitchen has done right by me. They now offer several gluten-free pizzas, along with their other gluten-free appetizers and menu items.
Pizza is one of my favorite foods, so I was very excited to do an “official” taste test for the blog.
I know, I know … it’s a tough job, but I do it all for you!
I loved that the menu made it easy for me to know what things are safe because they were clearly labeled GF.
I went with my mom, and we ordered two small plates as appetizers – the asparagus + arugula salad and white corn guacamole + chips.
For the main course, we split the gluten-free mushroom pepperoni sausage pizza.
It was really tasty. The pizza did come out a little crisp (or burnt), but that didn’t stop me from finishing my entire half.
Our overall experience was good. I felt really confident about being safe from cross-contamination, because California Pizza Kitchen uses procedures approved by the Gluten Intolerance Group.
I will definitely be back.
